3. TD Anywhere
This time saving tool will allow you to highlight text (ie. part numbers) and with a right click of your mouse, it will search techdata.ca for matches.
Install Instructions:
- Download the Anywhere Search registry file from the Tech Data EC Resource Centre
- Your system will prompt you for a location where the file – TDAnyWhere.reg – should be saved
- Save to your PC, and run the TDAnyWhere.reg file
- A message appears when the registry file has been installed

4. Searching Tips
Advanced Search Refinement
Are there times when you wish you could narrow down your search a bit quicker?
The Refine Your Search tool lets you do that by allowing you to filter your search results by generic criteria such as price ranges and manufacturer, and more product specific attributes such as DPI and PPM for printers or Form Factor and Capacity for memory modules.
Example:
Filtering the search criteria of "LCD Monitors" to reflect only monitors that are 19" and have speakers:
- Run a search for LCD Monitors
- On the Refine Your Search panel, select Display / Diagonal Size under the Additional Attributes. This will expand to reveal a list reflecting the sizes contained in your search results.
- Select 19 in.
- Click Audio Output / Type
- Select Speaker(s).

Multiple Part Number Search
When searching for multiple part numbers on www.techdata.ca there is no need to painstakingly enter them into the search box one by one.
Example:
- Select Multiple MFR Part #s or Multiple Tech Data Part #s
- Simply copy and paste your search criteria into the Search For: field.
Your criteria need not be separated by a comma, however there is a 256 character limit.
The Multiple Part Number search makes large email lists or price & availability requests from a spreadsheet a walk in the park! |

Browse by Tab Search
Very similar to a retail shopping interface, our product tabs along the top of our website make browsing our entire catalogue a breeze. .
Examples:
For instance, say you were looking for a 5.0 Mexapixel Digital camera. Use the following steps:
- Click the Digital Cameras tab
- Digital Cameras
- Mega Pixels..
Or for a 19" LCD Monitor:
- Peripherals
- Monitors / Displays
- LCD Monitors / TVs

5. Search Result Export Tool
Don't spend hours copy and pasting part numbers, pricing and availability from your search results into emails and word processors. Use our handy export feature.
After running any search, click on the disk icon located along the top left section of your search results pane.
Techdata.ca will send you a pricelist of your search results including both Tech Data and manufacturer part numbers, your price, availability and even a short product description.
This pricelist is formatted in a Comma Separated Value (.csv) file that will open in any spreadsheet application such as Microsoft Excel.

6. My Favourites
Adding to My Favorites
Stop repeatedly keying in your most popular searches by bookmarking them with the My Favourites tool.
Simply click on the star  beside your line item.
A green coloured dialogue box will appear, prompting you to add your favourite SKU to a folder
If you have already created a folder, pull down on the drop menu – it will display a list of existing folders. Entering a name into the text field will create a new folder with that name.
Viewing My Favorites
Click on the star along the top of the site to access your favourites folder and instantly get your real time pricing and availability on those favourite SKUs.

7. Supplies Wizard
Consumables Made Easy!
Tired of sifting through individual manufacturer sites and web resources for consumables information? Try our Supplies Wizard in our Tools & Programs section...Simply select an application such as a Printer or Storage device, and the Supplies Wizard will return consumable media designed to work specifically for that device.
Example:
- Select Print Supplies
- Select Hewlett-Packard as Manufacturer
- Select Business Ink Jet 2600 Series as Model
- Select Paper / Output Media as Type
- Select View Results

- Increase your Product Search to view 50 items per page
